Apple Green Chrysoprase Faceted Saucer Hand Knotted Necklace in 14k Solid Gold

I found it at a gem show, sort of. My vendor pulled up a photo of stones that were on their way in, and this one jumped right out at me, so I asked to be messaged the very moment they arrived. When they did, we went back and forth while a strand was hand selected from the hank just for me, and when I finally opened the package it was even better than the photo.

I had planned to knot it on candy apple red silk, and I really thought that was the one, but once I laid the stones against it the red was simply too much. Lavender turned out to be the answer, just a little peek of something unexpected between each bead that makes the green look even greener. The saucers graduate gently toward the center, each one is hand knotted on doubled silk, and it is finished the way I finish all of my strands, with hand coiled French wire, a solid 14k gold clasp, and my engraved heart tag.

I keep picturing it on a fall day, at the apple orchard or the pumpkin patch or out trick or treating with the kids, with a cozy sweater and nothing else needed.
