Namibian Blue Chalcedony Strand, Made to Order

When I first saw these Namibian chalcedony rondelles, I had to set everything down and just look at them for a minute, because I have been searching for chalcedony in this exact color for a long time, a soft, dreamy periwinkle blue that glows almost like it's lit from the inside, and it was the color I had been picturing in my head all along.

Chalcedony is a form of quartz made of crystals so tiny you can't see them, which is what gives it that smooth, milky, candlelit glow instead of the sparkle of a faceted stone. A lot of the blue chalcedony you'll come across has been dyed to get its color, so what makes these so special to me is that they're untreated, and the blue you see is the blue the earth made. The beads are graduated, growing gently larger toward the center so the strand sits beautifully at the collarbone.

I'm offering these as made to order custom pieces to celebrate eight years of my work, and each strand will be hand knotted on silk and finished in solid 14k gold with my signature details, the same way I've made every piece from the very beginning. Because the stones are sourced to order from Jaipur, reservations are open through November 1 so I can bring them in with plenty of time for the holidays.
