This color doesn’t exist in heated stones.
Natural red spinel — unheated, untreated — runs hot magenta to pure red depending on the light. This strand does both. It’s the kind of color that stops people mid-conversation.
Spinel used to be mistaken for ruby. For centuries, the most famous “rubies” in crown jewels worldwide were actually spinel. Collectors figured it out. Prices followed.
This strand is fully graduated — smallest beads at the clasp, largest at the center. That’s not accidental. It takes sorting, patience, and an eye. The diamond rondelle at the center is set in solid 14k gold. Not gold fill. Not vermeil. Solid.
One strand. One necklace. When it’s gone, it’s gone — I can’t recreate this exact color match.
